I like to think of the body, the person as a garden:
— for example comparison to soil that needs to be drained when too much rain and dampness
for example if the tissue has to much stagnated moisture, accumulated fluids (swelling, odema, coated tongue in the middle), reflecting an overactive spleen network + thus leads to deficiency in kidney and liver network, and a overstimulated heart (liver signs - show in eg tension, heart signs - show in eg anxiety)
need drying, purging and dispersing herbs
“the doctor as a gardener: prepares the soil (tissues), sows the seeds, waters, removes weeds (toxins, accumulated fluids, metabolic waste products), placing plants in the right relation to each other (organ networks)”
TO DO - WRITE MORE:
too much heat (of the heart) will dry the soil out, Blood gets dry, tissues not nourished. inflammation.
tendency of heat to move towards the surface - reminds of our body sweating <333
too much dryness, will affect the lung, showing in a dry cough
just like cracked dehydrated earth - cracked, dry skin; loss of body fluids
winter slows down and causes contraction.
too much coldness will freeze, leading to stiffness and pain of bones and joints.
too much Wind will bring unrest and irritation of the Liver, something like dizziness, and disrupting the peace of inner circulation.
